weird weather

You remember that half-inch of ice I posted pictures of? And the way-below-zero wind chills?

It's all gone.
It's currently in the 50s, raining so hard I can barely see half a block, they're posting flash-flood warnings, and parts of the area are under a tornado watch.

Tornadoes! In December!!

I'm planning to do cats this afternoon. I hope I can get to the one house (low places in the backroads) and I hope the roof in the other house isn't leaking (her back porch was leaking from the melting ice yesterday, but it seemed okay in the house). I had planned to take Taenzer and Timber over there to play a little bit, but I guess I'll have to wait a day or so.

Pray for my most recent sweater, please. I think I'm going to have to spray it with fabric relaxer (a mix of fabric softener and water) and then steam-iron it to get it to lay properly. It's made without any ribbing or garter stitch or anything at the edges to make them lie flat, but the picture shows all the edges absolutely flat and unrolled.

That left side does look like there's ribbing or garter on it, but nope, it's not. So I hope that steam-blocking will do it.

Maybe the model is helping, by holding the edges, so they don't roll?
We've got the nastiest weather here. Yesterday it rained so hard, everything was flooded, but so far NOT our basement, hurray!
The snow is almost non existant anymore, and we had lots! We went for a walk in between rains bursts, but at the furthest point away from our house there was a down pour, we got wet to the skin and almost ran home, but it was too slippery to really do so. It leaked into our wintergarten. My son had to shovel the remaining snow off the roof. Should have done so earlier. Same weather in the forcast for today. Oh, and there was thunder and lightning as well. Couldn't believe first my earys and than my eyes. I want my snow back!!!
