New Toys

I got some new toys for Timber and Taenzer for Christmas, and I think they're happy with them. I took tons of pictures, but I'll only post a few here. Most of them are of Timber, because for some reason none of the ones of Taenzer turned out very well.

Sitting for their portraits:

Timber, with all the toys, taking over Taenzer's crate:

Timber and the giant octopus. It's a cool octopus, from my human point of view--it has squeakers in the legs and a grunter in the head, and I think there's also a rattle in there somewhere. Plus it flops its legs around when shaken:

Timber and the new Wonky-Bonkers toy (and how cool a name is that? *lol* brought to you be the same folks who make Hurl-a-Squirrel, Chuck-a-Duck, and Terrible Nasty Scaries):

It's still really cold and frozen here. I threw melting salt on the sidewalks yesterday and might as well have thrown it on the cement for all the good it did. Tomorrow, though, the high is supposed to be 48, so things will be a slushy mess--but at least it should be safer to walk and drive.

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas!

They toys all sound like fun toys. Our dogs got a new duck a couple of weeks before Christmas, which Biko enjoys the most. Also some new tennis balls, because for some reason the old ones can't be found (under the snow, over the fenc).
We've got a doggy as a visitor. 9 year old Dalmatian/Lab mix, female. She's a delight, fast as lightening, and we want to keep her, but my SIL doesn't think so. Oh well. The dogs play nice with each other. Only Sam's a little jealous when she comes near me or near a food source. We bought her a new bed, treats and toys. My SIL says, she's in Doggy Hotel right now. She deserves it, since it's her 4th family she's living with now. She's half the size of ours, but she eats the same amount of food. :o) Anyway, all the best to you and your Beauties!
