Exhibit B:

The other night Timber was lying on his back on the couch, which is so freaking adorable and I hope to get a picture of it some day, and because it's SOOOO darn cute I had to go over and sit beside him and coo and talk baby talk at him and rub his tummy. He got all excited and started wiggling around and somehow got his back up against the back of the couch and his back feet against me and before I knew it HE'D PUSHED ME OFF THE COUCH!

BOOM!

Mom lands on her butt on the floor!!

I started yelling (not seriously) "You pushed me off the couch! OW, Timber, you pushed me off the couch!"

He was very pleased by this turn of events, apparently, since he jumped down and started running back and forth between the bedroom and living room. Taenzer heard me yelling and came trotting out to see what was going on, and finding me in easy range, started licking my face, so "You pushed me off the couch!" became "Help! I'm being licked! Help!!"

This inspired her to renewed efforts, and I kept squishing down trying to get out of range, with the result that I was lying on my back on the floor waving my hands and giggling, and Taenzer was licking everyting she could reach and wagging from the ears back, and Timber came and barked at us. It was pretty silly, and pretty fun. :)

I've got the body of my new sweater done and I suspect that despite obsessive measuring it's not big enough. Or, possibly, I should have made the next size up (oink), and it will fit if I can ever lose those last 15 pounds, where I've been stuck for the past 6 weeks. Another thing I'm worried about is that the edges roll because they're not ribbed or done in some stitch that would make them lie flat. They're shown lying flat in the photo in the book...

To further mess things up, I'm going to try doing the cap-sleeves from the top down, picking up stitches around the armhole and working short rows. So the next sound you hear may be me wailing about how awful the sleeves have turned out.

I got word this week that a friend has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It's inoperable and has spread to his liver. It's one of the worst cancers you can get--life expectancy is something like 3-6 months. They've started him on chemotherapy. I hope he beats it, somehow.

He has four cats, so I'm thinking about volunteering to take one. I don't know--they're very odd cats and from the stories he tells about them I'm not sure one would fit into my house very well--but I know if it were me, I'd be so worried until I found good homes for them.

If anything were to happen to me, Taenzer and Timber would go to Serendipity GSD Rescue in St. Louis. The woman who runs it ran the GSD branch of Faery Tails Corgi/GSD Rescue before they split off, and I've talked to her; I know she'd take them. It's in Timber's adoption contract that he would go back to them, but she'd take them both. I keep a file for them, with notes about any health problems, their favorite toys, cues they know, things they like to do, quirks and characteristics, what they eat, to try to make it as easy as possible to rehome them if it should be necessary.

Er--I think I need to go hug my dogs.
