Daylight what?

Timber's having trouble with this concept of going off Daylight Savings. This morning he galloped around the house and when I groaned, "Timber, I'm not getting up; I don't have to get up yet!" he skidded to a halt in the bedroom door and went

WOOF!!
My inclination was to roll over and pull the covers up over my head, but after I'd thought about it I decided that (a) he doesn't usually bug me if he doesn't *really* have to go and (b) I want him to let me know when he has to go, so I got up and put on some sweats and took him out. And once again, he REALLY had to go, no fooling, and when we came back in, I went back to bed and both dogs settled down without a problem.
But the great big woof was funny. He's a smart boy--he figured out what worked. :)
Perversely enough, this is the time of year that I'd rather have DLS--it gets dark so early after I get home, it's hard to get them enough exercise in the winter. So an extra hour of light *after* work in the winter would be better for us than an extra hour in the morning. Although I suppose it is safer for kids to have the morning light for going to school in.
I got an e-mail from the person I sent the baby clothes to:
"OMG i got your package and everything was beautiful!! i LOVE the sweater with the web pattern!! Gianna put a thank you in the mail to you, but I wanted to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU everything was just so gorgeous we wore the sweater in green with hat and booties to our shopping trip the day we got the package!! the only thing i have to get is button thread--i have buttons for the white sweater, but i have to attach the buttons tightly in case she decides to chew on them or something=---"
I'm glad she liked them.
