Pictures while waiting to go out

I fed the dogs early this evening so we can go out about 6:30 and stay out til dark, or until they get tired, whichever comes first. So while they're digesting, I thought I would load some pictures I took this morning. It was overcast, but they came out all right, I think. Maybe a little dim.
I have a new set-up for Taenzer to push her ball around, until I can find/make something more permanent and interesting. Just the garden cart turned on its side and a giant plastic pot pushed up against it, but she seems to find it interesting:

"Now how do I get this ball out of here?"

This way, of course!

"Easy-peasy."

Rolling the ball into the new tunnel:

"Now where did that ball go?"

Out of the tunnel, with the ball!

She never gets tired of this game.

Some Timber pics. I'm esp. thrilled with this one. Last year I posted a pic of him trotting, comparing his lack of extension with Taenzer's easy reach. Well--look at this. That's about as nice an extended trot as you'll see. Not a "flying trot" by any means, could use a little more reach in front, but it's worlds better than this time last year. (Btw, you can click on this and get a full-size pic--I finally figured out how to do it! I'll reload the other ones tomorrow night.)

He's started putting his jolly ball down to wrestle with this new ball. It's made of hard plastic, like Taenzer's, but as you can see, it has four holes in it, and for some reason this frustrates him no end. All this wrestling is accompanied by much whining and barking. *lol*

LOVE the pictures! I can't believe Taenzer pushed the ball around herself. She's entertaining herself, that's so great! How did she get started doing this?
Timber is so beautiful, especially the picture where he trotts, and the last one too. I'v not seen a Jolly ball like that. We have 5 now, in different sizes, because Biko has a hard time with the large ones. Sam's only interested in his old red ball, the others don't interest him at all.

Monika, she's pushed that silly ball around since I first gave it to her. It *is* great that she entertains herself with it--she does most of it at top speed, with the consequence that she's in great physical condition.

Here's a link on where to get a ball like Timber's playing with: http://tinyurl.com/4esyqn They weren't calling it a "ferret ball" last time I bought one... If you look around that site, you can also find them with balls *inside* them. You'd think that would be the one that would really set Timber off, but for some reason he's obsessing on the empty one.

Shay, thank you, yes, he IS gorgeous. Now if I could just get him to meet people quietly, instead of flinging himself bodily at them... He's such a people magnet, people want to pet him, but he gets so excited and that weight he put on over the winter seems to be muscle, so he could easily accidentally hurt someone. I've been recruiting people to volunteer to get mauled in hopes of teaching him some alternate, more acceptable behaviors.

However, *I* get to hug and snuggle and love on him all I want to. :)
