Spring is Here

(Do you know the Rodgers & Hart song?)

This is the time of year when I need one of those buckets with the canvas thingy you strap on that has pockets, because I wind up toting all sorts of odd things around with me. This morning while the dogs were playing the list was:
  • camera
  • Sharpie pen
  • pruners
  • scissors
  • ant bait
  • trowel
  • knitting
  • notebook
  • pen

I'd be carrying my MP3 player too but I have this thing about not being able to hear what's going on around me. I need a player that's like a boombox, so I can play the music out into the air, without having stuff in my ears.

(Jane: Remember the PBS Great Performances show with acapella groups, including the all-girl group and Rockapella? I haven't been able to find a copy of the show on videotape or DVD yet, but recently I got a copy of the CD (Spike Lee & Co.: Just Do It Acappella, Elektra, 1990. Artists include True Image, the Persuasions, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the Mint Juleps, and Rockapella). The music in that still makes me SMILE Big Time, and I have an ambition to work up a freestyle routine with Taenzer to the Mint Juleps' version of "Higher and Higher." That's what I'm listening to right now.)

My plan for the day is to put the winter clothes away and get out spring/summer stuff, go to K-Mart and get more ant bait, bone meal for the daffodils, chocolate, and a storage bin for the fleece blankies (just how did I wind up with so many fleece blankies??), wind into a ball the skein for the 2nd spring lace sock (finished the first last night), maybe do a load of laundry.

And later I have some puppy pics to put up. :)
