darn Petfooddirect

The Ts are on a hunger strike--they don't like what I'm givng them. They want their Tripett. I think I'll send an e-mail to Petfooddirect explaining why I probably won't be ordering from them again. I ordered Friday; it arrived Tuesday, and would have arrived Monday if there'd been mail. SOME companies don't need two weeks to get an order to you (I know--it used to take 6-8 weeks to receive an order through the mail. That was a long time ago, people, and my expectations have risen with performance.) (I should send a note to Jimmy Bean's Wool and tell them how much I appreciate their quick delivery.)

Annie, on the other hand, loves her Fancy Feast and has been eating between 2 and 3 cans a day. Every time she finishes the bowl, I just open another can.

I don't know if it's the weather or what, but I've felt just awful all day--headache I can't get rid of, and now a lot of pressure in my ears. I keep yawning, trying to get them to pop. There's a nasty-looking belt of storms in a line right across Iowa at about Des Moines--maybe that's the culprit.

I can't say I'm wild about this turquoise yarn. It's just not as soft as the handpaint (what did she use??) and though it's a very pretty color I don't think I like it as sleeves. Maybe I'll just put a collar on it with the original yarn, and then see if I can divide what's left in half and knit sleeves until I run out of yarn.

I don't know what I'll do about sleeves for that little circular jacket. It definitely needs the contrast of solid-colored sleeves, but I can't use scratchy yarn! Maybe I can find a bulky alpaca...
