I don't know why I like the one below so well, it's all out of focus--it's her stance and the movement of her leg, I think. You can just see the buster cube in front of her nose.
And with this one it's her beautiful coat--the sweep of the feathers on her near foreleg, the blue-black shine of her coat, and the way the fur flows. *sigh* I told you I was a crazy mom. You can't even see her face.
And I love this one because it shows how rich his coloring is. His red is so RED--his foster mom named him "Timber" because that red color reminded her of fresh-cut cedarwood. And he really is that red.
I'm going to try for pics of them playing with the food toys again, this time with the kids/pets setting on, because they're so funny. Taenzer, the athlete, the dancer, uses her paws and nose to roll and tap the toys to get food out of them. Timber, Mr. Destructo, is the more straight-forward type--he picks them up and drops them. Hey, if it works, right?
Btw, they had their food toys to play with because after raiding the cat dish three times last week, I finally realized that Timber's lost some weight; he felt really skinny to me. I like to keep them lean, but obviously he's not getting enough to eat, so I decided to try to keep them occupied and bring his weight back up. Annie's food remained in place today, I'm happy to say. And hopefully he'll get enough exercise over the summer that he'll gain weight by muscling up rather than getting fat.

Since the weather is so fine, we are outside a lot. During winter Biko got (fat) not quite, but she put on some weight. Last night everybody was watching TV but me, I was on the PC. She came upstairs goint from room to room until she found me. I asked her what was up and she wagged her tail und nugged the paper bag in the recyling bin (where there was chicken before and now none). Anyway, I asked if she was hungry and she wagged her tail again. I gave her an extra cup of her food, which she wolfed down. I guess she needs a bit more now, that she's running and swimming a lot. I can understand how you love your T's now matter what the pics look like. Sometimes only we can see the special things, but Timber's coat is really a nice red and I love the long coat they have. Oh, btw, Biko and Sam play tuck-of-war sometimes with a rope. It's funny really. She's lying on the floor and grabs the rope, Sam's standing up and is pulling her around the basement, both enjoying it very much. ;o)
Aw, thanks, Monika. And what a cute story about Biko asking for seconds! They're so smart, aren't they? I always enjoy the pictures of Sam and Biko--your dogs pose! They always look so elegant. The Ts are such goofballs. Beautiful, but goofy.
Tug of war was their favorite game together until Taenzer wore down her teeth and they started hurting her, poor girl. I usually have to grab the toy and give her a chance to get a good grip behind the painful teeth.
