Cuteness
Timber, jolly ball firmly in mouth, stalking butterflies, pouncing with both front feet, and trying to bash the butterflies with his ball. Beautiful and adorable.
Newly-fledged baby house sparrow, sitting in the grass at the foot of the feeder pole, complete ball of fluff and feathers, looking befuddled and clueless. From time to time one of the parents dropped down from the feeder to stuff a seed in its mouth. Something startles the mixed flock of house finches, house sparrows, and mourning doves, and they all take off in a flurry of wings, leaving baby sparrow to gaze around in dim surprise: "Where'd everybody go?" Eventually it flew into the spruce tree a few feet away.
