So I got to poking around today, and I found pictures of Timber's brother Rocket! Go here to read about Rocket, now living with Debbie and Bob Fratini of Naperville, and see some great pictures. I confess, I got all choked up. He's a big handsome boy--not as beautiful as my Timber, of course, but very handsome. Apparently he flips over on his back for tummy-rubs just like Timber does (but I never have a camera with me when he does, darn it!). Rocket really resembles Timber in the face, I think--he's got the same expressive eyes.
This made me ridiculously happy. I hope I'll be able to find pictures of some of the other siblings.

Awe! I don't go to rescue sites, I always break out in tears, even if these are success stories!
I so hear you. I just can't go to the local animal shelter--I burst into tears. Not a useful reaction. I have friends who take pictures for the adoption fliers and walk the dogs and things, and I just can't go near the place. Rescue sites are almost as bad--but then if I hadn't gone onto Pet Finder, I'd have never found Timber. Things happen when they're supposed to, I think.
