Just another day (or two)

It's raining here in Forgottonia, but nothing near as bad as it's raining in Texas. I have friends down there, and I hope they're all safe. One lives in the Houston area, and last I heard, yesterday, she and her family were going--somewhere.

My windows are closed, it's raining with some thunder, I'm watching a DVD, a nd have a fan on, and I can still hear the stereo of the neighbor across the street. And he likes hiphop. We are not amused. He's also got a couple of little dogs that he lets wander around loose in the yard. So far I haven't seen them leavle their yard, but I worry that they will. A, I don't want them over here and B, I don't want them to get hit by a car, and there's a lot of traffic on this street.

Taenzer "exploded" on me the other night. I put my arm around her for a hug and happened to notice this big tuft of undercoat coming out at that place where their back leg curves into their body, where the undercoat is always thick. I gave a little tug, and another, and another, and before I knew it I had enough to stuff a pillow. Then I tackled the other side. She was not amused and wanted me to quit, but I insisted. I'm planning to take the shedding rake to her this weekend. Usually they shed like this in the spring, not the fall!

They were very cute Thursday morning--I had actually awakened a bit early, and was sitting up in bed to hug them. Taenzer was unimpressed until Timber jumped up on the bed with a toy and I started to play with him. Then she got up and dropped her shoulder into my lap, with her rear-end sticking up and her face turned toward Timber, and she gave him the evil eye. He dropped his toy and started barking at her, this high-pitched bark he uses when she spoils his fun somehow. I hugged on her a while, then made her move and played with him. Cute babies.

This morning I was having a dream about Timber. He had his Jolly Ball and was trotting down the street away from me, ignoring my calling him. Finally I bellowed at him and he stopped and turned his head and looked right into my eyes, and I thought "OMG, I have to get up!" and threw back my blankets. I woke up to find I was sitting up, and looked at the clock, and sure enough, I was late! Think he was communicating with me?

Tomorrow I'll have to play with them and do some training to keep them occupied. It's supposed to rain all weekend, and they'll have cabin fever when it's all over. I'm also hoping to get a lot of baby knitting done. Baby Gianna made her debut a couple of weeks ago, and I need to get her winter sweaters finished!
