I wish I had a digital video camera so I could post a video of her playing with the big flower pot. She's so goofy sometimes. She's started running the ball into the pot while it's lying on its side. Then she pretends she's trying to get it out , and makes high barky noises at it, then grabs the rim and drags it around a little, then gives it a little shove so it's sitting upright (with the ball still in it). Then she runs around, bites the rim, says mean things to it, and then, very deliberately, puts her nose in and gives it a sharp shove, so that it falls away onto its other side. Then she runs around it, climbs on top of it, rolls it with her front feet like a circus dog, and finally get in and flips the ball out with a couple of deft motions of her forefeet. She does a lap around the yard, goes through both tunnels, and then does some variation of the thing all over again. It's so cute and so creative!
Timber, who doesn't much like temperatures over about 70F, spends most of his yard time lying in the grass in the shade, chewing on his jolly ball (and I have to get that boy a new one--this one's practically in shreds) and snapping at various flying insects. Once in a while he charges a bird or a squirrel, and every so often he carries his ball over to where Taenzer is doing her thing and bashes her ball every time she tried to get it out of the pot.
They're soooooooooooo cute.
I'm sort of with Timber when it comes to c omfortable temperatures, but I must admit, it's nice to be going around the house barefoot again. One of life's little pleasures.

Timber and Sam do the same things when outside. I tried to get Sam to use the new Jolly Ball, but he would have none of it. The chewed up is his pacifier, even when he's laying in th shade, he just holds it in his mouth and from time to time he makes a couple of chewing motions, just looking around the yard. What is it with the girls, being playful and doing stuff on their own? Biko's always making trouble if we don't play with her, but she's always looking at us, to see if WE notice what she's doing.
When I get Timber a new Jolly Ball, I have to hide or toss the old one, or he won't have anything to do with the new one. Silly boys! :)
