I'm going to have to pull out the toe and make the finished one a couple of inches longer, I think. I just heard from my friend that her father wears a 10.5 shoe, which according to the charts is close to 11". I figure add at least 6" to get up past the ankle bones, so we're talking a 17-18" sock, and I think the finished one is only 16".
However, I did finish the Lemonade socks last night! I'll post pics later.
I guess I should put the variegated Alpaca Sox in its own little baggie so I can tote it back and forth from the living room to the bedroom. This is going to be my only project for a while so I can finish it up quickly and get them sent to my friend.

I can't remember why you made tube socks for your friends father. With normal socks there's at least the heel to take out the boring of going round and round and round .... :o)
Hope you'll get it done and over with soon, just to save your sanity! :o)
Well, I started tube socks because I didn't know what size sock he wears, and I knew when I saw the yarn that it was going to take me a while to get them done, and I wanted to get started.
Thanks for the sanity wishes! :)
