Interview went okay, I guess. Apparently I was their last interview--they must have only interviewed 3 or 4 people, because the HR person said they were only interviewing today, and mine was scheduled for 1:00--and they were going to meet and make a decision. So I might hear before the holiday.
It's a very small department. Everyone has dogs. The person actually from the department at the interview showed me pictures of her shelties. :) Maybe that's a good sign.
I always feel like I've talked too much, or said the wrong things, or not asked the right questions, but there you are. I suppose everyone feels like that after an interview.
Then I got the tags--too bad the Ts seldom wear collars, because they're an unusal and very attractive wine color this year. Spent an hour at Walmart (I hate Walmart). I'm feeling ambivalent about the DVD/VHS recorder, so it's still sitting out in the van. But I found a couple of magazines I wanted, and got some beads and charms to make a tassel for my sister's present, and found the elastic sewing thread I wanted for the sock top. AND bought two BIG bags of chicken jerky strips because it's very hard to find around here and it's Timber's favorite snack. And oh yeah, some blank DVDs, so this weekend I can set the thing up and try copying some videotapes. Maybe I won't have to select my favorite 10 Dr. Who episodes after all. (Iowa PBS ran Dr. Who episodes forever, and I got almost all of them, from a few Dr. #1 (including the pilot) through most of Dr. #7 (Sylvester McCoy), on tape. I also have the Paul McGann ep on tape--I was always sorry that was a single effort, because I thought he'd have made a fabulous Dr. Anyway, I'd never be able to afford to replace all those old tapes with commercial DVDs, so I hope I won't have to.)
I was there about forever (well, maybe an hour) and came out feeling exhausted. I really do not like Walmart. Even on a Wednesday in the middle of the afternoon, it was crowded and hot.
Then I picked up my prescription and stopped by Taco Bell because I hadn't had any lunch and I was hungry, then went home and let the Ts out to play while I ate. I was going to run the van through the carwash and put some air in the tires, but I just ran out of steam. Now I'm pooped. (I've really got to start taking my supplements again.)
I also got some card stock to print my T-Christmas card out, because there are a few people I can't send it to electronically--and besides, I'd like the Ts to be part of the display at the vets. :) I'm hoping it will be quiet at work tomorrow so I can run half a dozen or so off on the department's huge expensive color printer. I'd like to make a sweatshirt transfer, too--wouldn't that make a pretty Christmas sweatshirt? (without the greeting, of course, and probably without the green border)
