(I always really liked that song--and that group...)
Yeah, it's the starter, and it'll be expensive, and I'll have to take it back in tomorrow because they couldn't find a starter in town.
Forgottonia Light & Power hiked their rates by an obscene amount the first of the year, with the collusion of the president of the state senate, and some people saw really horrendous increases in their bills--double and even triple what it had previously been. There was a huge outcry--there's a lot of "hidden poverty" here, and the people who got hit hardest were, as always, the ones who could least afford it--so FL&P is graciously poviding rebates. Mine was $85, and the check arrived today. It's welcome, for sure--with the van repair, Annie's meds, and the Ts heartworm/flea meds all happening at once.
Timber, my Timber--he's such a cutie. He's been waking me up between 4 and 4:30 in the morning to go potty, and he's not kidding--he REALLY has to go!! Last night he didn't wake me up, but as soon as the radio came on this morning he started whining and pacing. I turned over and pulled the sheet over my head (I am so not a morning person). More pacing, louder whining. I continue to pretend there is no German Shepherd there. Bounce--he jumps up on the bed. I squeeze my eyes tighter shut. I don't need to get up for another half-hour. Whap! He smacks me with a paw. I roll over, to find him sitting at my side, staring holes through me: I Must Go Outside Now. I whined: "Timberrrrrrr." Bark! Whap! Whap! Take Me Out NOW.
Fortunately, I find him irresistible, and he knows I do, so I didn't kill him, I just staggered out of bed and managed to get my legs into a pair of sweats and took them outside. And he REALLY had to go. Poor little guy.
And I still managed to be late to work.

I'm so glad I'm a morining person. Poor Timber, but he knew how to get you going! ;o)
I've go to the vet with Sam on Thursday. He's got some skin problems which will not go away and it's now spreading. Wonder what that is. It must not be contagious, because Biko is fine and they are sharing places to sleep. Must there always be something?
