That boy's got my number

At lunch today I decided to groom Timber a little bit. As you may remember, Timber hates being groomed. Especially with the shedding rake, which, of course, does the best job of removing undercoat. So he wiggled and whined and at one point whipped his head around--no teeth, but it was definitely a "stop that" kinda move.

So I lowered my voice and went "Timmmm-Berrrrr" in my best "I'm so disappointed in you" tone.

Did he lie down and show me his tummy? Nope.

Did he lower his head, flatten his ears, curve his back, and wag the tip of his tail? Nope.

What did he do?

He sat up.

He's got this broad bottom and sits up like a squirrel or a little bear; he just pivots up from the hips, and his front feet just kind of dangle along his sides. He's very stable and looks like he could hold the position forever. I find it completely adorable. Obviously he knows this.

I laughed. Hugged him. Got a little kiss in return. Went and got the human pin-brush, which doesn't work as well, but gets some hair off him and he objects to it less.

If he was a human male he'd be ve-ry dangerous!
