I've been tagged by the Bohemian Road Nurse to tell 8 things about myself. Like most people who get tagged, I guess, I've been puzzling over what to tell. There's nothing all that interesting, really, so I finally decided to just do 8 things at random.
Er.
Maybe.
Um.
Okay, let's try it.
1. I'm not religious. I was baptised Episcopalian in Virginia and attended the local Methodist Sunday School when we moved to Forgottonia because it was within walking distance, and, probably like most girls, flirted with the idea of being a nun (well--most girls back then--back when "nun" meant a cloistered order, in full black and white Benedictine habit). About the time churches of all denominations start switching from King James and organs to vernacular and guitars, I started getting New Agey.
2. I've lived in two houses that were haunted.
3. I love horses.
4. I never watch TV--not, actually, from principle, but because I decided I'd rather do other things with the money I was spending on cable. From what I hear these days, I don't think I'm missing anything.
5. I don't have a college degree.
6. I'm English, Scotch-Irish, and German, with a soupcon of Huguenot French and a dash of Swiss. (I don't know how to make the little thingy that should go under the C in "soupcon")
7. I love genealogy. It's like a giant jigsaw puzzle combined with a treasure hunt.
8. White lilacs are one of my favorite flowers (and I wish I had a place to plant one).
Howzzat?

If you think you don't have interesting things to say about yourself, then I sure don't about myself.
Hauted houses? Twice?
Being a "sprout" of people of so many countries, there's got to be a lot to tell!
