Sixty-six degrees this morning. A couple of months ago I was running around barefoot and wearing a t-shirt at this temp. This morning I'm wearing socks and a big (waist-length) shrug (which needs to be washed and re-shaped). I'm thinking of cutting thumb holes along the seam of the cuffs to keep the cuffs up around my wrists, since I like my wristbones covered and these keep sliding up. If I were to make something like it again, I would (guess what?) work the "sleeve" part in the round up to the elbow or whever I wanted to split it for the body, then work back and forth until I'd gotten across the back and halfway down the other arm, then I'd go back to working it in the round. (You can't really see the cuffs in this picture ;-)
Right now I'm wondering if I could take some of the scraps of laceweight wool I have and either pick up and work an inch or so of tighter ribbing around the cuffs, or maybe crochet around to snug it up.
Speaking of washing things, I've finally decided I could spread my favorite-sweater-ever (the charcoal and cream lopi) out on a bathtowel on the porch to dry, so if the sun comes out tomorrow like they say it will, I think I'll give it a bath.

I'd like to wash and block out the mohair stole, too, but I haven't figured out where or how to stretch it out properly. I might be able to do a Russian block on it--I could put nails into the porch floor for the corners, and put bath towels under it to keep it clean. I wonder if I have any string?
They never tell you about these things when you buy your first set of needles and ball of yarn!
