(that's the least gross of the pictures, btw)
Miraculously it did NOT knock my contact lense out (hard gas-permeables), though I took it out as soon as I got back to the house. It really REALLY hurt. Really. Now it's--uncomfortable. I'll be calling the optometrist first thing in the morning and walking up to his office as soon as they can fit me in (one good thing about living in a small town--I can walk there). I'm pretty sure it's going to be just fine, but since I trust my optometrist with, well, my vision, I'll feel better after he looks at both the eye and the contact. I suspect I won't be at work tomorrow, since I don't have glasses, and since I really doubt I'll want to put my contact in tomorrow. I'll have to see if someone will bring me a few groceries. Serves me right for not going out yesterday like I should have.
For once I was really motoring this morning--I got sweaters put away, move spring/summer clothes around, tidied the junk room (not really so's anyone but me would notice, but still...) and was all charged up to do all this other stuff.
I did get the Ts to the puppy pen anyway, and I'm so sorry I forgot to take the camera, since Taenzer was thrilled and just rolled and rolled in the fresh sweet grass. THAT's why I don't give up this grass-growing nonsense and just cover the place with wood chips. She gets such a charge out of the grass--and so do I, actually. I thought about lying down and rolling around with her. I could pull weeds even with one eye covered, and Timber found an old grey tennis ball--trust Timber to find it if there's a tennis ball anywhere around--so I tossed the ball for them both. Not sure when I'll get the tunnels up--sometime next week, I imagine.
Wish I had an easy project going that I could do mostly by touch. Mental note: get one of the heavier-weight sock yarns and keep a pair on the needles at all times for emergencies such as this.
