Re-Discoveries

It would be nice if I could think of clever titles for these things, but there you are, I'm not clever.
Half my stash is in the living room, in cubby holes where I can see it, and in baskets--one for sock yarn and one for lace-weight yarns. The other half is in the, er--well, it started life as the spare bedroom and is currently the catch-all room. It also has Annie's litterbox in it. So I was in there this morning cleaning her litterbox, and on impulse took a look at some of the stash. It's a good thing to refresh one's memory from time to time (esp. if your memory is as poor as mine). I've got some really nice stuff back there; I just have to figure out what to do with it! Here's a sampling:

That's Classic Elite Fame. I made a summer top out of the dusty lilac which I can no longer wear at my current weight, but there was some left over, as well as 6 skeins of the darker color, Indigo Seas. It has navy, true green, olive green, and some blue-ish grey in it, and I think the lavender looks quite nice with it. It's 75% rayon, 25% silk, about 116 yards per skein, so I'm guessing I have about 900 yards total. Plus the stuff I found on the cone. It's filthy dirty, but I unwound a couple of layers and it's the same dusty lilac color as above. So maybe 1000 yards, with a suggested needle size of US 6. Perhaps I could get a t-shirt out of it?

This is Pomfret Mark II Sportweight by Brunswick yarns, a 100% wool sportweight. There are 4 skeins of Blueberry Heather, one of Blackerry Heather, one of Plum Wine, one of Damask Rose, and the part-skein of Emerald Heather. It's about 175 yards per skein, so there's about 1300 yards. It's obviously asking to be a fair isle something, I think. They were part of a grab-bag gift from a friend.

This is all Shetland wool. I think. The skeins are, and I believe the balls are, also. The light pink is Jamiesons, and the other skeins are Harris, and I really have no clue how much yardage is there. I suppose I could do mittens or a vest (except I never wear vests. Maybe a vest as a gift for someone). Or socks.

Actually (in the interests of full disclosure) there's some stash out in the front room, too--the Transitions yarn, carefully covered to keep the dust off, and some Lopi yarn, and a slightly scratchy wool in two shades of taupe, and a dreamy bulky alpaca/wool blend from KnitPicks that I bought for a specific project and then realized it wasn't bulky enough. Back to the drawing board.
