Saw the doctor today. Luckily I took my Spring-Leaves-in-progress with me, since she was out delivering a baby when I got there and consequently was late; I got about 5 rows done. The good news is that it's not a rotator cuff tear (probably). It's (probably) a slight shoulder separation. I had the choice of having steroids injected or taking an anti-inflammatory and lifting some light weights for a couple of weeks; guess which I chose? The anti-inflammatory is diclofenac, which seems safe enough (I've been checking up on it online), and is also used for arthritis pain so maybe it will give my knees and hips a break.
I bet it's from hoisting that ten-ton garage door when the springs broke and it took the repair guy a couple of weeks to make it out to fix it. I do most of my lifting/carrying with my left arm and hand, but I raise the garage door with my right.
The dogs are dying to go out, but it's nearly 80 degrees here, which is WAY TOO HOT for March. I'll take them out after dark. And I'm going to HAVE to get a new pre-owned fridge--mine is already sweating and dripping; it'll never make it through the summer.
It's always something, isn't it?
