Timber's been deliberately lifting his back feet to touch the cookie sheet. It is SO unbelievably COOL to see him think about it and one foot goes up--awkwardly and deliberately, sort of as if I were trying to write my name with my left hand. AND, he's doing it when I give him a verbal cue (the oh-so-imaginative "back foot"). I was so excited when I realized he was getting it I about died. I was hugging him and making a huge fuss, and he gave me this look like, "Oh, mom, get a grip." It's just so thrilling!
Taenzer doesn't really have it yet, I'm afraid, but she will. It's harder for cross-over dogs, but she's very, very bright, and eager to work; she'll get it.
