What time is it?

Usually I deal with the fall time change better than the spring time change, but not this year. I remember I was thrilled with the extra hour in the evening this past April--or March--whenever.

And yesterday was awful--I never did really know what time it was and the dogs and I got so confused about our schedules. It's not much better today. Am I hungry? Is it bed time? The other secretary at work ate her lunch at 10:30! I begin to think we should just pick a time and stick to it.

Timber keeps tiptoeing into the kitchen and giving me worried looks--he thinks it's past time for me to get ready for bed (which includes giving him a chewie and reading for an hour or so).

Since it's dry and not cold I took them out for walkies-training tonight. I made two mistakes: first, I took them out after dinner, when they weren't hungry anymore, and second, I didn't have any chicken (the big treat) and used inferior treats. I can't really tell if we're making progress--they're sort of getting it, I guess--I got Timber past three houses tonight! But neither of them looks relaxed about what we're doing,, they both look kind of anxious and stressy. It would help if I knew what I was doing.

But both of them sat at the top of the steps and waited for me to get down to the bottom, so that's a good thing.

I took a break from my nephew's sweater to use the last of my cardigan yarn to make a tam. I had just barely enough, with a few inches left over for the 3 buttons I still have to sew on. Yay! Now back to the sweater. I'm about to finish up the one sleeve, just a few more rounds on the cuff to go, and I'm thinking of just bundling the thing up and sending it to them as is, with notes to try it on and see whether it comes close to fitting. If the neck needs to be bigger or the sleeve(s) longer, I'd rather know now. And meanwhile, I could start a new sock! (Aha! You see I have ulterior motives!)

No word on my laptop yet. *sigh*
