Pooped

This morning I scraped the south side of the garage, and this afternoon I painted it--well, most of it. I couldn't get the ladder into the lily bed, and I'm not quite tall enough to reach the very top of the wall and the soffit. And I haven't quite decided what color to paint the trim. Definitely not white! I think I may go back and paint the door with the main color, and add some trim color later. I'm thinking maybe 3 or 4 shades darker for the door and windows , with just a thread of dark antique red. I was going to do a 2nd coat, but I'm not sure it's worth it--the bottom of the siding is completely rotted out, so this is more of a cosmetic job, rather than a protection. Though I suppose a 2nd coat might keep it from rotting farther up. I don't know. Anyway, I'm happy with the color--the lilies and that red astilbe stand out against it beautifully, but the foliage shows up against it, too. Not too green, not too grey, not too light, and I don't think it's too dark.
How about cream, rather than white, as the main trim color?
I think I'm going to have to get a moss-killer for the--what is that board called? The fascia?--before I can paint it.

Tomorrow I plan to paint as much of the front as I can reach, and Friday I'll do the north side. If I decide to do a 2nd coat, I'll start over on Saturday! It'll go faster since I won't have to scrape everything first.

If the sun is out tomorrow, I'll try to post some pictures of the July Elann samples--they came last week and I liked them all so much that I sat right down and knitted them up.
