We had sun and warm(ish) weather today! Seems like it's been raining for weeks. So I went out and took some pictures. The hyacinths have done really well this year, and today it was warm enough to be able to smell them without sticking one's nose right into them. I do love hyacinths, and am thinking of adding more next year.
The blue flowers here are chionodoxia. They don't smell, and they're not flashy by themselves, but they're really beautiful in a big pool like this.
The bees found the hyacinths, too. They were positively swarming around them. There are two here in this picture. I'm wondering what kind of bees they are--they aren't bumblebees, and I don't think they're honeybees--honeybees have fur, don't they? But whatever they are, they were very excited about the hyacinths.
