I'm glad I didn't wait until the weekend--it's supposed to rain tomorrow, and then snow--3 to 8 inches!
Bulbs on the east side of the house--daffodils, hyacinths, crocus.

Beautiful silvery-lavender crocus, coming up through last year's lavender.

Chiondoxia. (correction: chionodoxa--don't know why I can't spell that right the first time!) I love this stuff. It seeds itself all over the yard, and there are blue stars everywhere. This happens to be a particularly large patch.

Siberian squill, and this picture doesn't even start to capture how intensely, deeply blue they are.

Puppies on the porch . Look at that sweet little-boy face. (fond and dopey mom-smile) Taenzer was looking particularly noble and intelligent for some reason, instead of her usual goofy self.

She looks so wise and beautiful.

I have to show you my latest sock. I'm having great fun with it.

Of course, tonight's storm may render it all moot. Gotta love Illinois weather.
My verification word is immerdia. How apt.
