I suppose this is a not-so-subtle clue for me to put down the knitting and start doing some training.
Tonight Taenzer brought me, all on her own initiative and without request from me, a plastic dustpan and a 3.3 pound (1.5 kg) dumbbell. She has NEVER even looked twice at these things before.
In Schutzhund work the dog retrieves a 650 gram, or 1 lb. 7 oz. dumbbell, and for Schutzhund III they retrieve a 2kg dumbbell for the on-the-flat retrieve.
At any rate, I'm reading this as a request for more attention and something interesting to do. Okay, sweetie, as soon as Mommy finishes her sweater.
Meanwhile, I'm hiding the darn dumbbell!
(She's such a goofball!)

That's sooo funny! They can be very insitend, can't they! Sam pushes his big red ball in my lap, whenever he wants a tuck-of-war with it, or drops a tennis ball in my lap to throw it. Biko has her stuffed chew toys, makes them all wet and presses them on us, so we would cry out in disgust and play a bit with her. That is all going on inside. When we are outside we don't need an invitation to play. :o) Your pups are very clever!
