What next??

Actually, I'm afraid to find out.

Last week it was two computers needing to have Windows reinstalled and recovering all the stuff I had on them.

Monday I realized I had no hot water. The plumber came out yesterday and replaced the thermocoupler in the water heater.

Last night I was playing with Timber, and he got excited and poked me in the eye. Good-bye, contact lense! This is the first time I've completely, totally lost a contact in 35 years. Logic says it has to be in the bedroom (where we were playing) somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. I think it landed on Timber's nose and he swallowed it. I do have prescription glasses, but I never wear them, so as I write they're perched on my nose. I hate them. And since my eyes aren't used to them, they make me dizzy when I move my head. I'm hoping that by the end of the morning I'll be used enough to them to be able to drive to work; right now everything bends and my depth perception is way off. Meanwhile, I'm going to call the optometrist as soon as they open and get a replacement contact ordered. If I have to walk over, I'm taking these stupid glasses off!

I'm hoping for a little breather here...

The weather is beautiful--clear and cool. The dogs are very happy and goofy, and I'm wearing sweaters. It feels like actual *fall*, makes me think of plaid skirts. This morning I heard geese overhead, and blue jays calling.

Sometimes it's hard to stay positiv, but we better focus our energy on good stuff, than on the bad. Wish you all the best.

Thursday:
The toilet upstairs overflowed, leaked into the front entryway. The shade in Robbie's room broke as I raised it. Later that day, a glass broke as I was drying it and I cut myself AGAIN. And, as Bruce pointed out, the Cubs lost.

I was glad to start another day! And, yes, Friday was better!

Hope your next days are better.
