I'm not sure this cart is a whole lot better than my previous set-up. Dontcha hate when that happens? I'm still not quite square to the computer, and the monitor is a little farther than I'd like it to be (time for stronger readers?). On the other hand, everything but the printer fits onto it and I can easily reach the tower, which was a real problem before, and I have more room (for more junk, of course) off to my left, where I keep knitting, patterns, cups of tea, books, pens, scissors, yadda yadda. So that's all good.
But it is not as compact as I'd thought it would be, so if the idea was to save floor space, I don't think much was accomplished. That's not good. And I can't see into the kitchen (i.e., can't see if Timber wanders in and stands looking wistfully at me waiting for an invitation to come cuddle). That's not good.
But the cart is very stable and sturdy, and the casters work easy, so it's easy to move the thing off to one side when I'm not actually using it. That's good. And I'm much less twisted around, also good.
I think I might be able to watch DVDs on this now, too. That might be good.
Maybe despite this bigger-than-expected cart, the room will look roomier once I get the crate downstairs. I hope that's not traumatic for Timber.
Tomorrow: work. Thursday: bank. Friday: first PT session.
