I'VE FINISHED THE TUBE SOCKS!!!
They're all washed and laying out on a towel in the bathroom, along with the Lemonade Socks.
I'm a happy woman.
Now all I have to do is get them in the mail. :-P
What shall I work on next? Which of 6000 projects?
I was given some yarn today. 3 balls of Cascade Yarns Cash Vero, color #22, which looks beige on the monitor but is a very very pale green in person, and it is a completely delicious yarn and I'm wondering if I can justify buying enough more to make a sweater. Not this color, but I could use this color for stripes or something. Next time you're in your local LYS, check out the Cash Vero. You'll want to squeeze it and pet it and hold it against your cheek and take it home with you. Wow. (superfine merino, microfiber, cashmere) And it's a nice Aran weight, so it would work up pretty fast. I don't even know that I'd want to do anything fancy with it--just a nice plain stocking stitch raglan-sleeve sweater (I'm into raglan sleeves--they fit so much more neatly than drop-shoulder sleeves, and they're easier to make than set-in sleeves). Just so soft and snuggly. Mmmmmmm.
Also received 9 balls of an Italian yarn that's 40% cashmere, 30% lambswool, 30% wool, scarlet, about fingering weight, I guess, about 1000 yards (or 981 meters). Not quite sure what I'm going to do with it, but it's nice yarn. The obvious thing to do with it is a shawl, I suppose. I'll have to think about it.
They're predicting seriously nasty weather for tomorrow, but they were predicting it for last night and today, too, and so far all we've had is rain. Lots and lots of cold, miserable rain; the ground's completely saturated. Still, I have my fingers crossed that that 6-10 inches of snow will appear and we'll get a snow day off work tomorrow. :)
