Made an appt. with the vet for Annie for next Monday. We'll see how she's doing by then. If the vet thinks we could try a higher dose of
trazadone (er--of course, I meant tapezole -- 10/21/07), we'll do that--if Annie's okay. So we'll see. She hasn't completely stopped eating--she eats half a raw chicken liver and an entire can of Fancy Feast every night, but I can't get her to eat during the day, or at least not much; if I keep pouring chicken broth onto the food and mushing it up, she'll drink all the liquid part if I carry her over and set her by her bowl, so over the course of a day--when I'm home--maybe she ingests another half a can of FF plus 1/4-1/3 cup chicken broth. Her hindquarters are so weak, but when she's determined she manages just fine--this evening, for example, she wanted to come lie beside me on the couch, but she had to climb over Timber to do it. So she did. (He's such a sweet, gentle guy with her.) And she's using her litterbox faithfully (knock wood). So--just see how it goes, I guess.
The microwave died tonight, oh joy. Funny, the things we get accustomed to. I went years without one, and now I, shall we say, prefer not to. My range is electric, so I feel like I'm saving a lot of electricity by using a microwave instead of the oven; plus I can eat in 6 minutes instead of 45.
Knitting has bumped to a temporary halt. I need to wind yarn from skeins into balls and just haven't had the energy to do it. I guess I could start either the 2nd lavender alpaca sock or the 2nd basketweave-rib sock--they're both in pull-skeins and don't need winding.
