Taenzer's left-overs. Picture this: raw hamburger. 2 raw eggs. a cup of cottage cheese. a cup of oatmeal (cooked). half a can of green beans. Mix thoroughly while Timber stands on the footstool and drools on your arm.
And Taenzer still manages to lick all the good stuff off the green beans but not eat them. Goofball.
Both Ts approved mightily of their dinner tonight, but holy moley, when did ground beef get so expensive??? (No, I almost never buy meat.) Good thing their regular food should be here tomorrow. And I hope Timber's delicate little tummy doesn't get upset.

That's hilarious! She's not for veggies is she? I feed my dogs cut green beans from a can every day. If I happen to run out of cans, and give them their dinner without green beans, they look into the bowl, than look at me, and look back, not believing that I would forget. They love veggies, well most of them. ;o) I can imagine how Timber loved the smell of your concoction, AND eat it too! ;o) That was quite a treat!
I know people who use green beans as training treats for their dogs. Obviously Taenzer wouldn't find that very motivating. ;-) I love your guys' reaction to dinner *without* green beans. I'll have to read that to Taenzer.
That made me smile. Our dogs amaze me all the time. When Sam is very hungry, he runs where the cans are and then he runs to his bowl, so I'll get it!
For Biko food treats do not work for training, she would turn her nose in disgust, but show her the tennis ball, and she will fly for you!
Sam see's the tennis ball and rolls his eyes, but show him a food treat, anything eatable, he'll makd a headstand for it. ;o) Can't wait to read what your T's are up to now. ;o)
*lol* My first GSD, Nixie, was like Biko--she'd work forever, or as long as your throwing arm held out. :) Timber is only moderately food-motivated, and works best for "real life" rewards--sit and you get to go outside; wait and you can jump out of the van and go play. Taenzer's really food-motivated unless she's outside with her blue ball, and then her brains go on holiday. If I wanted to work with her out in the puppy pen, I'd have to hide her ball and wait for her to run around looking for it and conclude it wasn't there. Goofball. :)
