Among other things, that means, I didn't check my mail until Timber indicated he wished to go out, please, just a few minutes ago. In these days of e-mail and digital photos and blogs and cell phones, mail just isn't what it used to be--bills and local flyers, mostly, with the odd catalog.
Imagine my pleasure and surprise at finding:
- my new AAA card (I always feel so much better knowing I won't have to pay for a tow, and the tire-repair service has come in pretty handy as well);
- a package with a great big tube of Nutrical from a friend whose cat turned up her nose at it, to help Annie gain back the weight she lost when she was sick;
- an actual hand-addressed envelope from a friend, containing actual color prints of herself, her boys, and her kitty. Thanks, Taekwondo Mom!
Sometimes it pays to go to the mailbox. :)
I may actually finish a complete pair of socks this weekend. Don't hold your breath or anything, but I'm down to the heel of the 2nd Old School Tie sock and, since it's supposed to be nice out tomorrow, the Ts and I will be outside a lot. While they're playing, I'll be knitting, so I just may finish it up and have a new pair of socks to wear to work Monday.
