I was going to go out today and look at cars--the local used car place has several that might do the trick--but last night I realized I had about a million mosquito bites--are mosquitos really neccessary to the Great Scheme of Things??--so I took some benadryl (antihistamine to short-circuit the allergic reaction). Apparently my body chemistry has changed. Benadryl never used to bother me, but last night it knocked me out cold, and I spent most of today either asleep or sitting around in a daze. Only started to come out of it about 5 p.m. One nice thing about this pattern is that I didn't have to pay much attention--a good thing when you don't have many brain cells awake and on-line.

It's a pity about the sock, I like how it looks a lot! Try putting on some Witch Hazel ointment on your mosquito bites, this helps me a lot. I'm the only person in the house mosquitos love and it itches like crazy. But with with hazel (3 bottles in the house, so I have it handy when the itching strikes) it soothes fast and I can put on as much as I like and don't have to swollow any anithystamine, which I can't stand. My husband never believed w.h. would help, but now he's recomending it to his friends. ;o)
By the way, witch hazel is clear as water, but has a slight smell, I like it actually, maybe because it brings relief?
You do? Well--maybe I'll leave it. It's an experimental sock anyway. I was thinking of trying a short-row heel with it. I've only done one and didn't like it, but I think this yarn would look good in a short-row heel, so it won't hurt to give it another try. :)
I'm going to the drug store today--I'll see if I can find any witch hazel. Thanks for the tip!
