Thank you

I read blogs where hits number in the 6 figures. My counter has just turned over 1,000--1017, to be precise. I'm thrilled, and I'd like to thank everyone who checks out this blog, esp. if you read it regularly. Or even semi-regularly. Or more than once!

Not brilliant day. About 2:00 I looked down and discovered, to my horror, 3 gigantic stains of a shade a friend used to refer to as "babyshit yellow" on my white t-shirt. I hastily buttoned up my sweater. I have no idea what it is. It smells a little oily, but I haven't been around any 3-in-1 or v&o dressing, so I have no clue. I hope it will Shout out. It's one of my pretty Marjolein Bastin t-shirts--my first and favorite one, in fact, with blue things on it--blue birds, blue pansies, blue dragonflies, blue birds eggs, blue butterflies--and one red rooster.

I also sent a post off to a mailing list I never contribute to. There was a thread about cues we use for our dogs, and I was listing T-cues for my own amusement, and instead of hitting the delete button, I *sent* it. There must be some way to abort a send--I mean, people must send posts by accident thousands of times a day. Millions, even. Someone must have come up with a way to protect idiots from themselves.

Timber goes to the vet tomorrow. I hope it's something simple, like a UTI that a nice course of antibiotics will clear up. Neither T wants to eat tonight. I wonder if it's the weather? there's some nasty-looking stuff northwest of us. It *probably* won't come down here--but I imagine they can feel the change in barometric pressure.

I've been meaning to say, one of the things I particularly like about summer is what great condition Taenzer gets into. She gets out there with her ball and goes full-tilt the entire time, and some days she's out two or even three times a day for an hour at a time. She's like a dancer or an athlete, not an ounce of fat on her, all lean muscle, agile and quick. I'd like to have the human version of that body, not to mention her boundless enthusiasm and energy! she is not the most perfect German Shepherd ever born, but she's very beautiful in her own goofy way.
