Still no title. This is getting annoying.

I've got to get a lanyard to attach my camera to. Timber will not come into the living room into the AC, and today when I came home at noon he was lying on his back in his crate in the bedroom, which was really really really REALLY cute. With those long foreleg feathers and the heavily-furnished britches and tail, it all sort of explodes, falls away from the grain, so to speak, and besides it's just cute to have him all upside down. I'm still trying to get a shot of him in the bathtub, too.

It's raining here, so they won't be able to go out. And it just occured to me that my Ocean Socks are out on the seat of the swing in the puppy pen. It's got a canopy (reinforced with a plastic "hat") and there hasn't been any wind, so I hope it's dry, but I'm obviously going to have to put on some shoes and brave the raindrops. I turned the heel yesterday, which was interesting... You may remember yesterday morning was just weird, and when I was out with the Ts working on the heel, I couldn't remember how to do it. First I tried to pick up gusset stitches straight from the heel flap, without doing the turn. Then I couldn't remember--"half plus 2, then k2tog, k1, turn? Is that how it goes?" Could remember when to do a left-leaning decrease and when to do a right-leaning decrease. Good thing nobody will see those heels, but I did eventually get them done. My next challenge is to work the pattern back into the instep. I think I'm not going to do the y/os followed by a purl row, but I'd like to keep up the ripple effect using make-1s instead of y/os and all knit rows until I get to the toe decreases. When I set up for the heel, I tried to set up so that I had one full pattern repeat centered, and half a repeat on either side. Don't know how that will work--I foresee a good deal of ripping out and trying again. Maybe I could work the other half of the repeats into the gusset? Or maybe not. We'll see.

I have to empty the cat boxes and put fresh litter in. I'm once again resolving to clean them out daily. Maybe that will encourage Annie to use the boxes and not Taenzer's crate. (Damn, I forgot to bring home the old Chronicles of Higher Education to line her crate with. And I forgot to call the transmission guy, who should be back from his vacation. Maybe I'll write it on my hand so I'll remember tomorrow.)
