These roses are out in the southwest corner of the front yard. The poor things are pretty much on their own this year--I've done next to no gardening. They got fertilized early this spring. They've gotten whatever water they get from the rain. It sort of looks like they're getting blackspot. But bless their hearts, they're still out there blooming. I suppose there's a life lesson there, but I'll let you format it yourself.
That's Russian sage around it, btw, which needs to be dug up and moved before it strangles the roses.



Can I pretend the unkempt look is really wild and romantic?

I love your unkempt garden pics! You should see my garden this year. I'm ashamed, but I promised myself, next year I'll do bettern. I wanted to see if anybody else in this house would move a finger to do something, but NO.
