Laugh if you want to

but honest to goodness, this really happened:

I've been thinking about contacting an animal communicator. (waits patiently for people to stop laughing) I'd like to know if there's anything Annie would like me to do that would make her feel more comfortable, and I'd like to know why Timber won't stay in the same room with me (I'm developing a complex over it), and I just want to talk to Taenzer.

So I went to Penelope Smith's site, where she has an extensive directory of animal communicators (http://www.animaltalk.net/consultlist.htm) and started browsing. As I did, I looked over at Taenzer and said, "I'm looking for an animal communicator. What do you think about that?"

She left the room.

I was sitting there feeling pretty discouraged, thinking, "Well, maybe this isn't such a great idea after all," when she came back with Timber. A few seconds later Annie came in as well and sat in my lap. I took that as an okay from all three of them.

So I checked sites and read bits and pieces of each out loud. I got little ear-flicks now and then, and Timber went back to the bedroom. "Well," I thought, "maybe they're leaving the choice of a communicator up to me," and carried on.

Then I found one I liked immediately, and the more I read the more I was interested. Finally I looked up and asked, "What do you think about this one?" Anne meowed and Taenzer came over and stood near the monitor with a big smile on her face and her tail wagging. It looked like a Yes to me.

True story, cross my heart. I've sent an e-mail to the person requesting a session and am very interested to see how things go.

No rose or daylily pics--it's pouring rain out--though not 19 inches like those poor people in Texas! And I thought 5 inches over night was bad! That was barely a sprinkle compared to Texas. Today at noon, when the sun was still out and the daylily was in the shadow of a blue spruce, I noticed that it's such a pale yellow it's almost luminous in the shade. A very nice daylily indeed.

Oh, and I've been meaning to note that I saw my first firefly of the year, a week from Monday. That'd be the 18th, I think. I love fireflies. One year I was at a little park near sunset. I was on one side of a little pond in a sort of bowl of land, and in the grass on the other side of the bowl there was a whole galaxy of fireflies twinkling on and off. I'd never seen anything like it, but keep hopes of seeing something like it again.

Thanks for your comments on my blog. My dogs get pizza crust whenever we have some. When I say the word pizza, they wag their tails and start salivating. Today I gave them some pasta left over nobody wanted to eat anymore for lunch and now, as I was cleaning up the kitchen after dinner, they both stood beside me, looking like I'd forgotten to give them their food, which they had already. Do they need more food because they run a lot more now, or are they just piggies? By the way, they didn't get to eat the whole tube of liverwurst, because I was so mad, I took it away and threw it away. They would have gotten diarreah anyway. I rescued the second baby bunny this morning. I was really disstressed when I saw it, sitting on the top stair, still in water. As I was lifting it out, it collapsed into the net and just ly there. I put it in the flower bed where the nest was, thre's lots to eat for bunnies, I checked and it's gone. I'm glad, I think it will be O.K. I hope that will teach it, not to go near the pool anymore. Must be the heat, and that it hasn't rained for so long, not even a little.
Oh, and I wanted to say, I know a Lady through the internet, she's a healer. She sometimes tells me what's up with my dogs and what I should do so they will be O.K. That's really nice, since she's in Europe. I'd like to know what will come of your experience!
