Funny Ts

Both Ts have their own individual crates. Timber spends a lot of time in his--too much, I think; sometimes I'm tempted to close the bedroom door so he'd have to come out into the front of the house, but he won't use the travel crate in the living room ever since Annie peed in it, and if he can't get to his bedroom crate he starts to pant and pace and get anxious, so...

At any rate, Taenzer's is considerably bigger than his--it's the biggest size you can get, I think, and was just the right size for Stella, who was very long, to stretch out in. Taenzer doesn't use hers much, so every once in a while Timber uses hers because he can stretch out flat in it.

Every night I move into the bedroom with the laptop for a couple of hours to wind down before bed. I bring some kind of snack for all three of us--usually a chicken jerkey strip for Timber and a piece of bully stick for Taenzer, and they eat them in their respective crates.

Except tonight, Timber was in Taenzer's crate and just didn't feel like moving, I guess. He took the chicken strip without bothering to get up, leaving Taenzer standing there trying to figure out what to do. I suggested she could just come up on the bed (even though those bully stick pieces stink to high heaven), but after a couple of seconds, she climbed into her crate and ate her treat standing up while Timber ate his lying down. She's such a creature of habit (have I mentioned she's not a good traveler?), and the routine is she eats her evening snack in her crate, and if she has to share her crate with Timber and eat standing up to do it, then that's what she'll do. Neither of them seemed to mind, fortunately, neither got snarky. When Timber finished, he got up to go get a drink and didn't come back; I imagine that if I went looking for him I'd find him in the bathtub. When Taenzer finished, she jumped up on the bed to give me a stinky kiss and is now lying on the floor at the foot of the bed where the fan can blow cool air on her.
