So I get up this morning, take the Ts outside, come back in. While I'm in the kitchen taking vitamins and giving Annie her pill, I notice Timber sitting t here in the back hall, watching me with this big grin on his face. I was immediately suspicious, but didn't know exactly what was going on in that head of his.
SO I go back to the bathroom to brush my teeth and put on makeup. Please note that Taenzer was back there with me, poking Annie. I hear "Bump! Thump! Creak! CRASH!"
Run to the kitchen and there's Timber with Annie's *empty* food bowl.
Tim-berrrr.
I let him know I was deeply disappointed in him, and put him in his crate to think things over while I finished up in the bathroom. Then I let him out, gave him hugs, and got dressed.
But now that I know he's hungry, poor bun, when I got home at noon today I gave him about a cup and a half of Innova Evo, which he scarfed right down. Taenzer was inclined to help, because Taenzer was hungry, because Taenzer had declined to eat her dinner last night, so I removed Taenzer from the kitchen so Timber could eat in peace.
We've worked out a compromise, actually--I put the Ts in their crates in the morning while I'm at work, and fix fresh food for Annie so she can eat in peace. Then at noon I let the Ts out and put Annie's food in the fridge, and the Ts have the run of the house. When I get home after work, I get Annie's food out of the fridge, since now I can keep an eye on everyone. So she's only going a few hours without food, and they're spending only a few hours in their crates in the mornings, so I think this is fair. And hopefully, when his weight is back up, Timber won't feel the need to raid counters any more.
