Knittin' (new project)

So I need a new project, and I'd like to do a summer top, and I've found some places where I can get some inexpensive linen-blend yarn, but meanwhile I need something to do. So I browsed through the stash and found this:

I don't know if it's pure mohair or if it's mohair/acrylic or acrylic--it was part of a grab-bag gift from a friend--but it's very fluffy and silky and colored kind of beige through taupe with a soft shine--it's very pretty.

So I looked around for a pattern I could do with this one ball of yarn and came up wth a free one, Feather Lace Scarf from www.yarnmarket.com. The original pattern is for quiviut on size 6 needles; I'm using size 11.

Oh boy, another lace scarf--how many lace scarves does one woman need? Well, they're like socks--you don't need much yarn and they're a good filler project, while I'm trying to decide on a new "major" project.

Wind's picked up and temp's dropped--they're talking about snow showers later on this week. Craziness.
