Cold, but happy Ts

Last week the highs were near 80. This week the lows have been in the 20s; teens predicted for tonight. As you might expect, things in the garden are not at all happy about this.

I took the Ts to a friend's house last night after work. She has a nice set-up--her garage is built in the middle of the backyard, too, but she has an actual back door, so her dogs can trot down a little passage between a fence and the back of the garage, into the play area. I took the Ts' favorite balls, and they played and played--except they're so out of shape that they were pretty much pooped after about half an hour. Poor buns. But at least they got to get some running in. If I can, I'll bring them onto campus individually this weekend for some time on the flexi-leash.

Taenzer is so clever with her ball--she can guide it to the inch if she wants to. When she wound up at the backdoor, she was able to get it turned around and pushed back down the passage when I called her to come back. At first she was going to come without the ball, but I told her to go back and get it. Later she started rolling it to my feet--if I stand with my heels together and toes out, she'll roll it right into the V-- and I would pick it up and ask her to do something--sit, spin, down, whatever--which she would do, but she would be barking this high-pitched excited bark the entire time.
