She didn't have peppermint oil, but she did have candy canes (it being around Christmas), so she taped candy canes to the outsides of her bird feeders and voila, no squirrels. Last week I got a 2-armed shepherd's crook--the kind you can hang flower baskets from--and put it in the yard, right where I can see it from the couch in the living room. It was okay with Timber--I just had him do some sits and downs and front foot targeting and we left it at that.  He's fine, I'm fine. I remembered that a couple of years ago I bought them some winter boots, so I found Timber's and put them on--with much giggling, since it's a lot like trying to put mittens on a toddler--his foot just goes limp and his toes bend and mash all up, so it takes some engineering to get them on. Well, all but one, which is a laceweight/very fine fingering that is too hard to deal with on metal needles and I was too lazy to get up and dig out some birch ones.They're all kind of odd, in one way or another, this month.
